Lexxe is a semantic search engine. So just what is a semantic search? Briefly, it’s a system that understands queries and web text with algorithms which are similar to the human brain. Semantic searches are supposed to be more accurate and pull up relevant results on the first try. Semantic algorithm searches would pull up results that match the meaning of a concept, not just results based on words ands statistical rankings. Lexxe does just this. It endeavors to make searching better. Use Lexxe as you would any other search engine. Type in your question or word and results will be displayed along with clusters for more results.

In their own words: ‘"Lexxe", /leksI/ or pronounced 'leksi', our company name, is derived from a linguistic term "Lexical", which means "related to words". It emphasises the processing of language from the level of words and the meanings associated with them, which is a core issue for Lexxe. Lexxe has been exploring more intelligent ways to find information for users in a more meaningful way. We believe this method will eventually bring far more accurate and relevant search results than the current search technology. Our technology is built upon the foundation of advanced Natural Language Processing technology.”

Why it might be a killer: Lexxe may be the next thing in web searching. We all know how frustrating it is when results don’t match our particular query—Lexxe aims to remedy that.

Some questions: How spot on will results be? Will semantic search overtake today’s popular search engines?
