Microsoft Puts Lexxe in Technology Advancements List

Date: March 2nd, 2007

Don Dodge (see picture above), currently Director of Business Development for Microsoft's Emerging Business Team, recently published an article The Top 100 Web Search Engines No One Ever Heard Of in his blog site Don Dodge on the Next Big Thing on search technology development. In this article published in February 2007, Don Dodge placed Lexxe in a list named "Technology Advancements", along with Powerset, Hakia and a few others.

"Entrepreneurs are trying everything they can think of to beat Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft Live. Here are some of the approaches and the companies that are trying", wrote Don Dodge. He classified those new search engines into several categories, such as "Cluster", "Mobile", "Meta", "Vertical", etc.

Lexxe was found in the category of "Technology Advancements" with 5 other search engines, "which search based on meaning or intent".

Don Dodge is a serial enterpreneur, who was involved in five start-ups including Forte Software, AltaVista, Napster, Bowstreet, and Groove Networks. He is currently Director of Business Development for Microsoft's Emerging Business Team. The goal is to help VC's and start-ups be successful with Microsoft, and together, provide great products for customers.
