Lexxe has recently been selected as one of the 193 Web 2.0 Applications by Berlin-based Internet Blogger Ludwig Gatzke (a.k.a. Stabilo Boss) at the website http://www.flickr.com/photos/stabilo-boss/93136022. He famously put together a picture (see below) of near 200 Web 2.0 applications he thought that were creative, useful and promising. The picture has since been shown at many websites. Diggwatchblog released a short explanation of the picture and the logos in it.
According to the definition of Web 2.0 in Wikipedia, Web 2.0 is a term often applied to a perceived ongoing transition of the World Wide Web from a collection of websites to a full-fledged computing platform serving web applications to end users. Ultimately Web 2.0 services are expected to replace desktop computing applications for many purposes.
