Dr. Hong Liang Qiao, Lexxe's CEO and founder, announced today that its innovative Third Generation Internet search engine Lexxe (Alpha version) was officially launched at the company's website - www.lexxe.com.
The goal of Lexxe's Alpha Version is to test Lexxe with real user queries and continue to make Lexxe more robust. It will last a few months from July 16 to late 2005.
"Today marks the birth of a new 3rd Generation Internet search engine and the beginning of a long journey ahead for Lexxe", said Dr. Qiao, who has developed the idea of a more robust Internet search engine powered by Natural Language Processing technologies four years ago. Lexxe, the brainchild of his many years of research and development in Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval, has finally become a tangible reality.
Lexxe plans to raise its first round funds from August 2005 and is ready to discuss with interested investors.
About Lexxe
Founded in 2005, Lexxe Pty Ltd has been developing a third generation Internet search engine with advanced Natural Language Processing technologies. Our initial research and development of the search engine dated back in October 2004, with the help of Kangasoft Pty Ltd and a number of supportive individuals. Lexxe is based in Sydney, Australia.
"Lexxe", our company name, is derived from a linguistic term "Lexical", which means "related to words". It emphasises the processing of language from the level of words and the meanings associated with them, which is a core issue for Lexxe.
Lexxe has been exploring more intelligent ways to find information for users in a more meaningful way. We believe these methods will eventually bring far more accurate and relevant search results than the current search techonology.
Our technology is built upon the foundation of advanced Natural Language Processing technology. Please find out more about our technology.
