Computational Linguist [Job ID: 0703]
Essential:
- BSc/BA degree in Lingustics, Computational Linguistics or Computer Science or equivalent (MSc/MA and PhD a plus).
- Solid knowledge in linguistics.
- Several years of work experience in computational linguistics.
- Experience in corpus linguistics, computational lexicography, machine learning, information retrieval, particularly in software development environment
- Knowledge of foreign languages.
- Unix system and scripting language (Shell, Perl, Javascript, Python)
- Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of search engine technology.
- Knowledge of HTML specification.
- Knowledge of statistics.
- Knowledge of a foreign language.
- Team player and also independent problem solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
